Near Duomo di milano you can enter Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to go to Piazza Della Scala
This Gallery is a covered double arcade formed of two glass-vaulted arcades at right angles intersecting in an octagon. Named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of united Italy, it was originally designed in 1861 and built between 1865 and 1877.
The fact that such immense halls are under glass is amazing. It looks like a space large enough for a two-way street. I would love to visit a structure like this in Italy.
